Digital Dentistry Solutions for Modern Dental Practices
Scan it, and we handle the rest — STL files from any major scanner into an in-house CAD/CAM and 3D-printing workflow, finished to seat. A free scanner if your operatory is not digital yet.
Going digital is not a project you have to take on alone. Send a scan and it moves straight into design; if your practice is still on impressions, we take those too — and can place a scanner in your operatory at no cost. This page is the overview; each capability has its own detailed page under digital dentistry services.
Why a digital workflow changes how your practice runs
-
No impression to ship and pour
A scan file goes straight into the CAD/CAM workflow, removing the distortion, shipping delay and pour errors of a conventional impression.
-
Faster case turnaround
The case starts designing the moment the file arrives — there is no transit time before the lab can begin.
-
Better fit and marginal accuracy
Restorations are designed and milled against clean data, which tightens margins and reduces the remakes that come from a poor impression.
-
Case documentation that stays with the account
Scans, designs and shade records are kept digitally, so the next case starts from what worked on the last.
-
Built for complex planning
Digital smile design and full-arch implant planning are only possible on a digital foundation — the scan is the starting point for the hardest cases.
From scan to delivery
How a digital case moves
Four steps from the file leaving your operatory to a finished restoration seating in the chair.
-
Submit your scan file
You
Export an STL from your intraoral scanner and upload it — iTero, 3Shape, Medit and other major systems are supported. Conventional impressions are accepted and digitized too.
-
Digital case review and design
Lab
We check the scan on arrival, flag anything that will not produce a seatable case, and design the restoration in CAD against your data.
-
CAD/CAM milling or 3D printing
Lab
The design is milled or printed in-house — restorations, models, and surgical guides — then finished at the bench.
-
Quality inspection and dispatch
Lab
Margins, contacts and occlusion are verified under magnification, and the case ships with a turnaround confirmed at intake.

Questions Dentists Ask About Going Digital
Prepared and opposing arch STLs, a buccal bite, the prescription, shade and photos where esthetics matter. Open STL exports from iTero, 3Shape, Medit, and CEREC all drop into the same CAD/CAM path — the submission checklist is on digital protocols.
Digital protocolsPartner practices can receive a 3Shape TRIOS 6 for the length of the partnership, and we set up export so the first scan arrives usable. Until then, ship conventional impressions — we digitize them into the same workflow while you transition.
iTero, 3Shape, Medit, and CEREC are all routine. Proprietary portals and open STL exports both work; if you are unsure how your system shares cases, tell us the scanner and we will confirm the cleanest route.
When the margin, bite, or scan-body capture is not readable on screen — processing cannot invent data the scan never recorded. We review intake before milling and call you to re-scan or add records rather than building to a bad file.
